EA Sports FC 27, the latest instalment in the football video game franchise, is due to be released on September 25. The game will introduce a new element called 'The Grounds', a physical hub area inspired by British, French, and Argentinian street-football culture.
The Grounds will serve as a new home for the existing Clubs online mode and offer various activities and mini-games. Players can choose to play against random opponents or set up custom games with friends in different playing areas.
Gameplay in FC 27 has also seen significant revamps, with developers focusing on improving responsiveness. This includes a rebuilt system for defensive interceptions and more manual control over defensive actions. Career Mode has been extensively updated to make its transfer system more realistic, with player overall ratings (OVRs) now fluctuating based on form, fitness, and happiness.
The Ultimate Transfer (FUT) mode will feature a new Gallery to showcase collected players and card-sets. EA Sports has also reportedly streamlined FUT's Squad-Based Challenges (SBC) system and made a tweak to address stalemates in the latter stages of FUT in FC 26.
