England is set to compete in a one-day international tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in October. The matches will be hosted in Lahore and Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
The format will see each team play against the others twice, culminating in a final on 31 October between the top two finishers. This upcoming series marks England's first ODI tri-series since their participation in a contest against Australia and India prior to the 2015 World Cup.
The series schedule begins on 18 October with Pakistan facing Sri Lanka. England's first match is against Pakistan on 20 October in Rawalpindi, followed by a game against Sri Lanka on 22 October at the same venue. The series then moves to Lahore, where England will play Pakistan on 25 October and Sri Lanka on 29 October. The final will also be held in Lahore.
This tri-series will commence England's winter schedule, which also includes three ODIs and five T20s against Australia starting 13 November. Subsequent fixtures involve three Tests and three ODIs in South Africa, two Tests in Bangladesh, and the 150th anniversary Test against Australia in Melbourne in March.
