Everton and Crystal Palace have confirmed the completion of a swap deal involving wingers Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. The agreement sees 25-year-old Johnson join Everton on a four-year contract, while 26-year-old McNeil moves to Selhurst Park.
This transfer follows a previous attempt by Palace to sign McNeil in February, which was a loan-to-buy deal valued at £20m. However, that move did not materialise as the necessary paperwork could not be finalised in time, despite McNeil passing a medical.
Johnson, a Wales international, originally signed for Palace in January in a £35m deal. He made 26 appearances for the club across all competitions but did not score during his tenure at Selhurst Park.
