Everton keep Harrison Armstrong after fan backlash, eye Jack Grealish return

Everton have cancelled Harrison Armstrong's potential transfer to Nottingham Forest following supporter protests. The club is also advancing talks to bring Jack Grealish back to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

  • Everton have decided against selling 19-year-old midfielder Harrison Armstrong to Nottingham Forest.
  • Supporters protested the proposed £40m transfer during a recent match, with manager David Moyes also opposing the sale.
  • Talks are progressing with Manchester City for the return of Jack Grealish, who was on loan at Everton last season.

Harrison Armstrong will remain at Everton after the club reversed a potential transfer to Nottingham Forest. The decision follows a backlash from supporters, who chanted about the midfielder during Everton's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth and reportedly warned of a "riot" if the £40m-rated player was sold.

Manager David Moyes had also expressed his desire for the 19-year-old to stay, stating the club could not let its best players leave.

Meanwhile, Everton are moving closer to securing two new signings. Talks are advancing with Manchester City regarding Jack Grealish, who spent last season on loan at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The 30-year-old, who won the Premier League's player-of-the-month award in August last season before an injury in September, is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium. Everton are also attempting to bring Richarlison back from Tottenham.
