Ewan McGregor has opened up about mending his relationship with his eldest daughter, Clara, 30, after his 2020 divorce from first wife Eve Mavrakis. The actor, 55, revealed that Clara was "very hurt" at the time of the separation.
The father and daughter worked on their relationship while filming the 2023 movie 'Bleeding Love'. Clara had asked her father to star in the film with her, which McGregor described as being "about the reparation of a relationship between a father and daughter that hadn’t fully happened between us." He noted that a scene where Clara's character confronts her father allowed her to express real-life anger.
McGregor split from Mavrakis in 2017 after 22 years of marriage and began a relationship with Mary Elizabeth Winstead the same year. Clara McGregor had previously made her feelings known about her father's new relationship in 2018, calling Winstead "a piece of trash" online, a comment she later regretted.
