Former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been handed a six-month driving ban after his Rolls-Royce was caught speeding earlier this year. The vehicle was recorded travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on 27 March.
Salah, 34, failed to inform police who was driving the car at the time of the offence. He did not respond to the prosecution notice from Cheshire Police and did not enter a plea to the charge.
The ban was issued at a hearing at Warrington Combined Court, where Salah was also ordered to pay £1,044. He was prosecuted under the Single Justice Procedure for failing to provide information relating to the driver's identification.
The speeding incident occurred just days after the Egypt captain announced his departure from Liverpool on 24 March, following nine years with the club. He scored 257 goals in 442 appearances before transferring to Turkish side Trabzonspor after the 2025-26 season.
