A recent family cycling holiday in Normandy saw two sisters and their three-year-old sons complete a 130km (80 miles) journey over five days. The trip, which started in Rémalard-en-Perche and concluded in Domfront, largely followed sections of the Véloscénic, a 450km car-free route.
The cyclists used ebikes with child seats, camping at various locations, including Forest View campsite near Rémalard and the Parc Naturel Régional Normandie-Maine in Carrouges. They also stayed at Accueil Vélo accredited stops, which offer services for cyclists such as breakfast and luggage assistance.
The journey included exploring villages and chateaux in the Perche region, with detours from the main greenway. Stops included Moutiers-au-Perche, La Chapelle-Montligeon, and Mortagne-au-Perche for its market.
