A tour bus carrying the rock band Buckcherry was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on South Carolina highway I-26 near Spartanburg around 2 a.m. Friday morning. One person has died as a result of the collision.
Authorities confirmed that the fatality occurred ahead of the bus. The South Carolina Department of Transportation stated that a driver stepped out of their car on the highway and was struck and killed by a Toyota sedan. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been publicly identified.
Buckcherry confirmed that all band members and touring crew are safe and unharmed. The band's scheduled performance on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, proceeded as planned, and no changes have been made to their Roar Like Thunder tour schedule.
