Feeld, a UK-based dating app, has announced significant sales growth and paid its founders their largest-ever dividend. The app, which caters to non-monogamous, queer, and kinky users, saw its revenues jump by 24% to £64m.
Pre-tax profits for the company grew from £9.3m to £11.4m. This financial performance led to shareholders, including founders Ana Kirova and Dimo Trifonov, sharing a dividend of £3.8m.
The company attributes its rising sales to strong global user growth, particularly outside the UK. International markets now account for nearly 90% of its total revenues, contributing £56m of the £64m. Mexico and Spain were identified as Feeld's fastest-growing regions, while New York, Toronto, and Paris experienced user number uplifts of over 20%.
Feeld generates revenue through its Majestic memberships, which offer features like unlimited 'likes' and advanced filters, and by selling extra 'pings' that allow users to express interest without a prior match. The company has also invested £10.5m in technological upgrades over the past year.
