Fernandez Dominates British MotoGP at Silverstone

Trackhouse Racing's Raul Fernandez clinched victory at the British MotoGP in Silverstone, leading the race from the opening lap. The 25-year-old, who had crashed in Saturday's sprint, secured his second MotoGP win by 2.5 seconds.

Championship leader Jorge Martin, despite starting on pole, faced technical issues at Turn One, briefly dropping to fourth before recovering to finish second behind Fernandez. This result allowed Martin to extend his lead at the top of the championship standings to 31 points.

Martin's Aprilia team-mate Marco Bezzecchi completed the podium in third, moving up to second in the championship. Defending champion Marc Marquez finished seventh, placing him fourth in the standings. Six riders, including Alex Rins and Joan Mir, crashed out of the race.

Earlier this week, MotoGP announced a contract extension with Silverstone, ensuring the British Grand Prix remains on the calendar until at least 2028.
