A fire that originated from a fault on a power transformer in a field has caused extensive damage to two homes in Kenninghall, Norfolk. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service stated that sparks from the transformer landed on dry ground, leading to the blaze.
Siobhan Fulcher, a healthcare worker, said her home, where she had lived for 12 years, was engulfed in flames within 10 minutes. Her son, Aaron, described watching the fire spread from a nearby field.
The family has been placed in temporary accommodation. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called to a significant field fire on Sunday and managed to contain it, preventing further spread to neighbouring properties.
