Fine & Country, the international estate agency, is significantly bolstering its ambitions in the French property market with the appointment of Sébastien Tedesco as a consultant and advisor to its head office team. This strategic move aims to establish a strong and sustainable network across the Channel, replicating the brand's successful growth model seen in the UK. Mr. Tedesco will work closely with international executive consultant Jonathan Handford and the wider Fine & Country team to spearhead this expansion, which will primarily operate through a licensing model.
Mr. Tedesco brings nearly two decades of extensive experience within the real estate industry, including prior leadership roles such as CEO of Keller Williams France. His expertise also extends to authoring a book on real estate and providing coaching and training to professionals across the sector. Fine & Country’s managing director, Nicky Stevenson, highlighted France as a strategically important market, emphasising the company’s commitment to building a premium real estate network that combines its international brand strength with local expertise.
Meanwhile, in the UK, Leaf Living, a prominent provider of new-build single-family rental housing, has announced the appointment of David Mullin as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Mullin joins Leaf Living from Sage, where he most recently served as managing director of commercial operations and previously held the role of financial director and interim CFO. His career also includes eight years in senior financial positions at Berkeley Homes, following an initial period at global healthcare company GSK.
With over 20 years of experience in residential and corporate finance, Mr. Mullin is expected to play a crucial role in scaling Leaf Living's platform and supporting the business's ongoing evolution. Will Montague, CEO of Leaf Living, underscored Mr. Mullin's considerable financial and operational experience, noting that his appointment further strengthens the company's experienced leadership team as it continues its growth trajectory.
These appointments reflect a dynamic period within the property sector, with companies focusing on strategic expansion and strengthening their operational and financial leadership. Fine & Country's foray into France highlights the enduring appeal of international real estate markets for UK-based firms, while Leaf Living's move underscores the growing importance of the purpose-built rental sector in the domestic housing landscape.
