Foo Fighters are set to open for AC/DC for a second time at a rescheduled New Jersey show, less than a month after their initial support slot was described as "one night only." The concert, originally planned for September 25 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, was postponed due to severe weather.
The show has now been rescheduled for this Friday, October 2, with Foo Fighters confirming their participation as support. All tickets for the original date will remain valid for the new date.
This upcoming performance follows Foo Fighters' support appearance for AC/DC in St. Louis on September 8. That engagement was explicitly announced as a "one night only" event after The Pretty Reckless were unable to perform.
Ahead of the St. Louis gig, Dave Grohl described sharing a stage with AC/DC as "literally a dream come true." He also told the crowd, "I don’t know if we’ll ever open for AC/DC again, although honestly I think it’d be a great fucking tour."
