Get set to embark on a gastronomic journey across Europe and the UK as the search is on for Britain's top food festival secrets. The competition, run in partnership with Coolstays and Lonely Planet, invites UK residents to share their most treasured foodie finds – be they small village shindigs or larger-than-life events.
The aim is to uncover the very best of European and British cuisine, celebrating festivals that showcase local produce at its finest. Entrants are asked to detail where they went, what they devoured, and why the experience left such a lasting impression – all in 100 words or less. This is your chance to highlight hidden gems, as well as champion established events that draw in the crowds.
The winning tip, chosen by Lonely Planet's Tom Hall, will secure a £200 Coolstays voucher towards a future getaway from over 3,000 unique properties worldwide. The top entries – along with other notable mentions – will also be showcased in The Guardian Travel section and website.
Submissions should focus on the essence of each festival experience, with photographs welcome but written descriptions forming the primary basis for judging. Please note that due to regulatory requirements, only UK residents are eligible to participate in this competition.
The deadline looms large – 10am BST on Monday, 13th July – so don't miss your chance to share your food festival memories and potentially win a fantastic holiday prize.
