Former TikTok employees Melody Chu and Jing Liu have launched a new iOS app, Superpose, which uses artificial intelligence to guide users on how to pose for photographs. The app functions as a camera, analysing selfies or photos of friends to generate four potential poses.

Users can save these AI-generated poses or use a 'match pose' feature to align themselves within the frame according to the suggestions. While some poses may appear extravagant or uncanny, the company is reportedly working on improvements.

Superpose launched in July and has since been downloaded over 22,000 times, with users generating more than 190,000 poses. The app offers five free pose generations daily, with additional packs available for purchase. The company has secured $2.2 million in funding from investors including Khosla Ventures, Meitu, and OVTR Ventures.

What this means for you: You can use the Superpose app to receive AI-generated pose suggestions for your photos, with five free generations available daily.
