Smith, 38, was booked at Sarpy County Jail on Monday 27 July at 8:44pm local time. He is expected to appear in court at 8am on Wednesday morning. The specific details surrounding his arrest have not been disclosed.

If convicted of domestic violence causing serious bodily harm, a Class 2 felony in Nebraska, Smith could face a maximum sentence of up to 50 years in prison.
