Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died and another suffered life-threatening injuries in Stoke-on-Trent. Police were called to reports of violence on Brookhouse Road, Meir, at 23:45 BST on Friday.
Staffordshire Police confirmed that a man in his late teens died at the scene. Another man, also in his late teens, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Those arrested include two 18-year-old men, a 20-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy, all from Stoke-on-Trent. The 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. All four remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Katie Gregory stated that there is no wider risk to the community and urged anyone with information about the attack to contact the police.
