Four men admit destroying Jewish community ambulances in Golders Green

Four men have pleaded guilty to destroying four Jewish community ambulances in an arson attack in north London, causing an estimated £1m of damage.

Four men have pleaded guilty to charges related to an arson attack that destroyed four Jewish community ambulances in Golders Green, north London. The incident, which occurred on 23 March, caused approximately £1m of damage.

Hamza Iqbal, 20, Rehan Khan, 19, Judex Atshatshi, 18, and Saif Ali, 18, admitted to destroying or damaging property, being reckless whether life would be endangered. The ambulances belonged to Hatzola, a Jewish volunteer emergency service.

The vehicles were set on fire while parked near a synagogue. Prosecutors stated that the resulting blaze caused gas canisters inside the ambulances to explode and also damaged nearby flats and a synagogue. Prosecutors believe the incident was a targeted attack against the Jewish community.
