British producer Fred Again.. and Mexican sibling trio LATIN MAFIA have reunited in Mexico City to create a new collaborative mixtape, livestreaming the entire process on YouTube. They have pledged to continue the broadcast until the project is complete.
The artists have been developing this joint musical endeavour intermittently for the past two years. The livestream, titled 'making a mixtape with latin mafia and staying here until we finish it', commenced at 1pm local time today, which was 8pm BST.
Fred Again.. described the collaboration as a "proper family affair," noting that both he and LATIN MAFIA, comprising brothers Emilio, Milton, and Mike de la Rosa, often work with their own siblings. He added that the music they created together naturally felt like a cohesive project.
LATIN MAFIA expressed that Fred's "honest and sensitive" approach to music has been an inspiration. They stated that their creative relationship felt natural from their initial meeting, sharing many commonalities in their creative process.
This announcement follows the release of 'Under The Fabric (Mexico City, 11th December 2025)', a 35-minute film documenting an improvised session between the artists last December. The film was shared online on Sunday, July 26, after a preview for fans in Mexico City.
