Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following his post-match comments after the 1-1 draw against Manchester United on September 20.
Arbeloa claimed that officials "would not let Manchester United lose" during the Premier League match at Craven Cottage. He stated that the referee had given "all fouls" to the opposition and referenced a controversial VAR decision from the previous weekend's Manchester derby.
The FA alleges that the Fulham boss "acted in an improper manner by making comments in a post-match interview that imply bias and/or question the integrity of a match official." Arbeloa, who took charge of Fulham in the summer and is yet to secure a league win, has until Thursday to respond to the charge.
In the match, Fulham had taken the lead early in the second half through a Lisandro Martinez own goal. However, Matheus Cunha's deflected 89th-minute goal rescued a point for Michael Carrick's side.
