Fulham have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios from Spanish giants Real Madrid. Both players have committed to five-year deals, with the club holding an option to extend their agreements by an additional 12 months.
Forward Garcia, 22, arrives at Craven Cottage after making 39 appearances and scoring eight goals for Real Madrid across all competitions last term. He also earned his first cap for Spain in June. Garcia will reunite with new Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa, having previously worked under him at the Bernabeu, in a move reportedly worth around £34m. Garcia expressed his gratitude, stating, "I'm very grateful, very happy to be here." He added, "I have to thank the board and Arbeloa for the trust they've put in me, and I'm very, very excited to start."
Attacking midfielder Palacios, 21, joins his former Real teammate at Fulham. He made five senior appearances for Real Madrid, all from the substitutes' bench, and has represented Spain at under-20 level.
