Manchester United defender Gabby George is reportedly nearing a move to Brighton before the start of the Women's Super League season. The 29-year-old, who has one year remaining on her contract after United activated an option clause in January, is expected to command a six-figure fee.
George, who joined United in 2023, is understood to be seeking regular game time. She made over 50 appearances during her three-year spell at the club and was part of the squad that won the Women's FA Cup in 2024.
Brighton, who finished seventh in the WSL last season, are strengthening their squad, having already added Switzerland captain Lia Walti and midfielder Emilie Joramo. George, with three caps for England, would bring valuable experience to Dario Vidosic's side.
