Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo is a doubt for Saturday's Premier League clash against Fulham. The 27-year-old Netherlands international was ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League win over Atletico Madrid due to "adductor issues," having felt discomfort after last week's victory at Ipswich.
Manager Andoni Iraola stated that Gakpo will be assessed after training on Friday to determine his readiness for the upcoming match. Gakpo has been in excellent form this season, assisting all three of Alexander Isak’s Premier League goals.
Meanwhile, Bradley Barcola is expected to be available to make his full Premier League debut. Barcola, who made his first start for Liverpool against Atletico Madrid, was removed late in the game due to cramp, but Iraola confirmed there is "no injury."
Iraola's side remains unbeaten in his first four games, securing back-to-back wins against Ipswich and Atletico. The manager noted that while the team has scored two goals in all four games, he believes there is still room for improvement, particularly in starting matches more strongly.
