Watford have announced the signing of former West Ham United striker Michail Antonio on a free transfer. The 36-year-old has joined the Hornets on a one-year deal, becoming their 12th summer signing.
Antonio, who will wear the number 18 shirt at Vicarage Road, last played for Qatari side Al-Sailiya in April, making four appearances. He had been training with Alessio Dionisi's Watford squad for the past month.
His final senior appearance for West Ham was in December 2024, followed by a broken leg injury. Antonio told the club's website, "Watford is a big club and hopefully I can come in and bring success and help wherever I can."
The deal for the Jamaican international is pending international clearance, which would allow him to be available for Saturday's Championship home match against Stoke City. Watford are currently 12th in the league after six games, with two wins, two draws, and two losses.
