Cody Gakpo is reportedly heading to Manchester City from Liverpool in a move thought to be worth approximately £85m. This development comes as Liverpool have reached a final agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for winger Bradley Barcola.
The deal for Barcola is an initial £106m, which could increase to £123m with add-ons. He is expected to sign a five-year contract at Anfield. Liverpool had previously reached an outline agreement with PSG earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have set a Sunday deadline for Julian Alvarez to decide his future. The 26-year-old forward missed his third consecutive day of training and will not be in the squad to face Sevilla this weekend. Atletico's chief executive has stated Alvarez will "never, ever" be sold to Barcelona, his preferred choice, but did not rule out a move to another club. Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation as Alvarez is their top target.
In other transfer news, Manchester City remain in talks to sign Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea have agreed a £7.5m deal for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, following recent errors from Robert Sanchez.
