Liverpool has agreed a £123m deal to sign Bradley Barcola, bringing the Paris Saint-Germain winger to the Premier League. The 23-year-old, known as the 'grasshopper' for his speed and agility, has had a notable journey to reach this point.

Barcola's career saw a period of uncertainty at Lyon, where he was reportedly close to joining Swiss club St Gallen in January 2023 for more game time. However, an incident involving a team-mate, Karl Toko Ekambi, opened an opportunity for Barcola to return to the starting XI. He seized this chance, scoring five goals that season, including a winner against Paris St-Germain in April 2023.

Five months after that goal, Barcola became a PSG player in a reported £38.5m move. During his three seasons in the French capital, he has secured three Ligue 1 titles and back-to-back Champions League victories. Barcola also broke into the France national team two years ago and scored three goals as they reached the semi-finals of this summer's World Cup.

His family has been a constant source of support throughout his career, from his early days at AS Buers Villeurbanne to his success with PSG. Barcola has spoken about the importance of his parents and older brother, Malcolm, in keeping him grounded and offering advice.
