Gatwick Airport is experiencing water supply issues today, 28 August 2026, after a main burst in a nearby field. SES Water has located the burst main in Horley and states that teams are on site to carry out repairs.
An airport spokesperson confirmed the issue is "affecting water supply in both terminals and is under investigation by SES Water." However, flights are not currently impacted.
As a result of the supply problem, toilets in the North Terminal are closed. The majority of toilets in the South Terminal remain unaffected. Food outlets in the North Terminal are open, but only for passenger seating.
Anthony Rochester, head of networks at SES Water, apologised for the disruption and stated that teams are working to repair the issue "as quickly and safely as possible."
