New York-based AI startup General Intuition is reportedly in talks to secure new funding at a $6 billion pre-money valuation. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that new investors, including Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six, are participating in the round.

Existing investors such as Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst are also said to be involved. This potential funding follows General Intuition's recent raise of $320 million at a $2.3 billion valuation.

General Intuition, which develops a foundation model for training generalised AI agents to navigate space and time, intends to use the new funds to enhance its general model, specifically focusing on robotic embodiments. This includes increasing investment in compute infrastructure and hiring more talent.

The company was spun out last October by CEO Pim de Witte from his video game clip-sharing platform Medal, utilising hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay and "action labels" as an initial dataset.
