Senior leaders from global regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical companies, health technology organisations, academic institutions, and patient groups are set to convene in London this November for the inaugural DIA-MHRA Global Summit.
Co-hosted by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Drug Information Association (DIA), the summit will be held on 16 and 17 November 2026. It aims to foster greater global collaboration to accelerate safe, effective, and innovative healthcare for patients.
The programme, themed "Global Collaboration for Safer and Smarter Health Innovation," will cover significant opportunities and challenges in healthcare. Discussions will include regulatory innovation, advanced therapies, artificial intelligence, health data, patient access, rare diseases, investment in life sciences, and international regulatory cooperation.
Representatives from organisations such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Swissmedic, and Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) are expected to participate. Speakers from the pharmaceutical industry include Sir Jonathan Symonds (GSK) and Dr Edward Piper (AstraZeneca), alongside patient advocates such as Emily Reuben OBE (Duchenne UK).
