Scottish golfer Robert MacIntyre may have played his final event of the season, citing ongoing uncertainty over the situation in the Middle East. The 30-year-old finished tied for sixth at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday.
MacIntyre will not compete in this week's Spanish Open and currently has no plans to play in India or South Korea. He stated he would wait to see how conflicts in the Middle East develop before deciding on participating in the DP World Tour's season-ending events in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in November.
"This is potentially the end of my season right here," MacIntyre told BBC Scotland. Fellow Ryder Cup player Matt Fitzpatrick has also expressed doubts about travelling to the region, though world number two Rory McIlroy intends to play in both events.
MacIntyre mentioned he could still play in the Bahamas in December, depending on his preparations for next season.
