Google's Gemini app has surpassed one billion monthly active users, a milestone announced by CEO Sundar Pichai. This makes Gemini one of Google's fastest-growing products and the 14th Google product to reach this user count.
The app's rapid growth means it is keeping pace with OpenAI's ChatGPT, which also hit one billion monthly active users in June. Google has been integrating Gemini across its various products, including Search and Workspace, and has also rolled out new features like Gemini 3.5 Flash, designed for coding and autonomous AI-agent tasks.
Google reports that 63% of Gemini users engage with the assistant via its voice feature. Additionally, the company states that Gemini now generates more than 150 million images daily. The app's reach extends beyond Google's own ecosystem, with over 100 million active users on iOS.
