Greece has called up Billy Konstas, the 24-year-old brother of Australia batter Sam Konstas, to their national cricket team. He is part of the 14-man squad preparing for a European qualifying event in Finland, which runs from 14 to 21 August, as Greece makes a bid to qualify for the 2028 men's T20 World Cup.

Billy Konstas, who plays grade cricket in Sydney and works as a cricket coach and physiotherapist, is joined by another Greek-Australian, 21-year-old leg-spinning all-rounder Blake Faunce. The Hellenic Cricket Federation has also held discussions with Blake Nikitaras and Peter Hatzoglou, both Australians with Greek heritage, though their availability for the upcoming qualifier seems unlikely at this stage.

Around two-thirds of Greece's squad for the Finland qualifier were born in Greece. The team, overseen by coach Tim Dellor, also includes UK-based players Dimitrios Triandafillithis and Christodoulos Bogdanos. Greece has been drawn in a group with Germany and Portugal for the qualifying event.
