A guest staying at the Six Senses London hotel this summer reportedly found a shard of glass in their dinner while eating at the hotel's Whiteley's Kitchen restaurant. The guest, writing for City AM, stated that a front-of-house employee apologised for the incident.

The hotel, which can cost upwards of £1,000 per night, also reportedly sent another guest's safe lock code to the City AM guest via its app. Builders were observed in the kitchen the morning after the glass incident, which the guest suggested may have been a cause.

An unnamed spokesperson for Six Senses London told City AM: “We are very sorry that aspects of the stay did not meet the high standards we set for ourselves. The safety and wellbeing of our guests is our highest priority, and we have taken additional steps to reinforce the controls and procedures we have in place to prevent this from happening again.” The spokesperson added that the hotel had been in direct contact with the guest and apologised for the shortcomings.
