Star striker Erling Haaland sparked injury concerns after scoring twice in Manchester City's 3-2 Premier League victory over Ipswich. Haaland reportedly hobbled straight down the tunnel after appearing to hurt his foot in the closing stages of the match.

His double against Ipswich took his season tally to 12 goals in all competitions. City manager Enzo Maresca had previously indicated a need to rest Haaland in the coming weeks, with the player having made 14 starts for club and country this season.

The win marked City's seventh consecutive Premier League victory to start the season, maintaining their perfect campaign and placing them six points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table. City are set to host AEK Athens in the Champions League on Thursday before an away fixture against Aston Villa next weekend.
