Hampshire have significantly boosted their chances of reaching the Women's One-Day Cup final directly after a dominant seven-wicket victory against The Blaze. Maia Bouchier's impressive 118, her fourth century this summer, powered Hampshire to chase down a target of 250 runs within 40 overs.
This bonus point win brings Hampshire level with The Blaze at the top of the table, with both teams having completed their 16 group matches. The Blaze, despite the loss, remain strong favourites to reach their third final of 2026, needing just one point from their final group game against Essex on Friday.
If The Blaze lose their upcoming match, Hampshire will qualify for the final on 19 September, while The Blaze would face an eliminator against the third-placed team. Elsewhere, Surrey kept their eliminator hopes alive with a 10-wicket win over Warwickshire, and Somerset also stayed in contention for third place with a five-wicket victory against Lancashire.
Surrey and Somerset, currently separated by one point, are set to face each other in their final group fixture on Saturday at The Oval, with the loser being knocked out of the competition. In Wednesday's other game, Essex secured an eight-run victory over Yorkshire.
