Hark Launches Browser Agent Handoff for Task Automation

Hark, a startup, has launched its new browser use agent, Hark Handoff, designed to complete tasks by navigating websites.

  • Hark Handoff can navigate websites without official APIs, including Target and LinkedIn.
  • The company claims Handoff is faster and cheaper than competing models like GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.8.
  • Hark has opened a waitlist for Handoff and plans a full release by the end of summer.

Hark, a startup that secured $700 million in Series A funding in May, has today launched its new agent, Hark Handoff. This agent is designed to efficiently use a browser to complete various tasks.

Handoff reportedly navigates websites that lack official APIs, such as Target, Walmart, OpenTable, and LinkedIn. It achieves this by analysing website structure and visual data to determine where to click or type information.

The agent can perform tasks including ordering food, booking travel tickets, filing returns, shopping, reserving restaurant tables, or conducting research. Hark claims Handoff is faster and less expensive than other models, including GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.8. A waitlist for the platform is now open, with a full release planned by the end of the summer.

What this means for you: You may be able to use Hark Handoff to automate online tasks like ordering food or booking travel once it is released.
