Bath opened their Gallagher Premiership season with a 33-17 win over Harlequins at the Stoop on Friday night.
Harlequins were without Marcus Smith, Alex Dombrandt, Fin Baxter and new recruit George Furbank. All bar Dombrandt are expected back in the next couple of weeks.
Santiago Carreras scored a wonder-try for Bath, intercepting a pass with his foot before gathering and finishing under the posts. Bath boss Johann van Graan said: "In my view, that is try of the season for us in round one."
Dan du Preez, Joe Cokanasiga and Dan Frost also crossed for Bath. Will Porter, Oscar Beard and Chandler Cunningham-South scored for Harlequins.
Harlequins head coach Jason Gilmore said: "I'm proud of the boys efforts and we definitely competed hard, but disappointed that we blew a few chances."
Northampton began their title defence with a 59-26 win over Newcastle Red Bulls, with James Pater scoring a hat-trick from full-back and Tommy Freeman also crossing three times.
