Harry Edward, Britain's first black Olympic medal winner, is set to be inducted into the England Athletics Hall of Fame. He will be honoured at a ceremony in Birmingham in November, joining a distinguished group of athletes.

Edward, a pioneer of British sport, won two bronze medals in the 100m and 200m at the 1920 Antwerp Olympics. He was also a three-time AAA 100yd and 220yd champion, and in 1922, he won the 100, 220, and 440-yard AAA championships within an hour.

Other inductees this year include Britain's most successful athlete, Mo Farah, former sprinter Sonia Lannaman, and medal-winning hurdler Shirley Strong. Triple Paralympic gold medallist Stephen Miller, coach Mike Holmes, and photographer Mark Shearman will also be honoured.
