Heathrow Airport has issued a warning of disruption affecting Terminals 2 and 3 today, 15 August 2026. Flooding, caused by a pipe leak in the central terminal area, has restricted road access to both terminals.
Passengers travelling to or from Terminals 2 and 3 are unable to enter by road and are advised to use rail and tube services instead. Access to the terminal car parks for these terminals is also impeded, meaning passengers with parked cars cannot reach them.
An airport spokesperson stated that teams are working to resolve the situation, with the leak isolated and repairs ongoing. They apologised for any disruption caused.
Which? Travel editor Rory Boland advised passengers to allow extra time, use public transport where possible, and contact their airline if concerned about missing a flight. He also suggested checking with parking providers for refunds or amendments and reviewing travel insurance for coverage of incurred costs.
