London Heathrow's Terminal 4 Plaza Premium lounge has been included in the top 10 independent airport lounges worldwide for 2026, according to the Skytrax World Airline Awards. This marks the only UK airport lounge to make the shortlist.
The awards, based on a global passenger satisfaction survey, named New York LaGuardia’s Chase Sapphire Lounge as the world's best independent airport lounge. Plaza Premium Lounge Rome Fiumicino airport secured second place, followed by the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong airport in third.
Plaza Premium Group was also recognised as the world's best airport lounge group for the tenth consecutive year. Mr Song Hoi See, founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group, stated that the award reflects the trust travellers place in them and their teams' dedication.
