Henry Pollock, the 21-year-old England international, has signed a multi-year contract extension with Northampton Saints. This agreement concludes speculation regarding his future with the Premiership champions.
Pollock, who has 13 England caps, was due to be out of contract next summer. His agent, Eddie Hearn, had publicly sought a significant pay rise for him to remain at the Saints. While specific details of the contract are undisclosed, it is reportedly worth around £450,000 a year.
Pollock expressed his happiness to re-sign with his boyhood club, stating, “I’m massively happy to re-sign with Saints, my boyhood club.” He added that he believes the team is in a great spot with potential for further growth.
Northampton's director of rugby, Phil Dowson, commented on Pollock's importance to the club and the wider game, noting his ability to inspire young supporters and bring excitement to rugby.
