England back row Henry Pollock has signed a new "multi-year" contract to remain with Northampton Saints, the Gallagher Premiership champions announced on Tuesday morning. The 21-year-old expressed his happiness to re-sign with his boyhood club, stating, "It’s an exciting place to be right now."
Pollock, who has played 13 times for England and secured five British and Irish Lions caps, recently became the first rugby player to be represented by Barry and Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Talent Agency. His new contract is widely reported to be in excess of £400,000 per year.
Northampton's director of rugby, Phil Dowson, highlighted the importance of retaining Pollock, noting his quality on the pitch and his outstanding character. Dowson added that the club is "excited to see what he can achieve over the coming years."
