The comprehensive improvements involved the full resurfacing of both platforms, ensuring a smoother and safer walking surface for passengers. Crucially, new tactile paving has been installed along the platform edges, a vital feature for visually impaired travellers, providing a clear indication of the platform's boundary. Hillington West serves as a key station on the Inverclyde line, connecting communities west of Glasgow with the city centre.
