HM Treasury has released a briefing note for Senior Responsible Owners and Programme/Project Managers concerning forthcoming assurance reviews, particularly for high-risk programmes.

  • The briefing note is aimed at Senior Responsible Owners and Programme/Project Managers.
  • It provides key information for those involved in forthcoming assurance reviews.
  • The note is primarily for High Risk programme/project reviews managed by NISTA, but can be adapted for departmental reviews.

HM Treasury has published a briefing note designed to inform Senior Responsible Owners and Programme/Project Managers about their roles in upcoming assurance reviews. This guidance is particularly relevant for High Risk programme/project reviews organised and managed by the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA).

The document also states that it can be adapted for reviews managed by departments under delegated authority. In such cases, the Departmental Assurance Coordinator (DAC) would take on the role outlined for the NISTA Assurance Lead (AL).
