HM Treasury has published its monthly comparison of independent forecasts for the UK economy, dated August 2026. This publication summarises views from various forecasting organisations.
The latest edition includes short-term forecasts for the calendar years 2026 and 2027, alongside financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27. It also provides medium-term forecasts covering the period from 2026 to 2030, and financial years 2025-26 to 2029-30.
HM Treasury clarifies that this document reflects the views of the forecasting organisations themselves and does not present new information on the Treasury’s own perspectives. The inclusion or exclusion of any particular organisation does not carry significance, and HM Treasury accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the material.
