Honeyjar, a new startup, is introducing AI tools intended to enhance public relations and communications processes. The company, founded by Michelle Masek and Nadia Jamshidi, aims to make senior-level PR expertise accessible to a wider range of users, including entrepreneurs and individuals without formal communications titles.
The platform automates various tasks, such as drafting announcements, identifying suitable journalists for pitches, and locating speaking opportunities. Honeyjar's vision extends beyond securing press coverage to integrating the entire communications workflow, encompassing signals, context, strategy, judgment, timing, and execution.
Masek stated that the need for strategic communications is widespread, affecting marketers, investors, authors, and school superintendents. Honeyjar is not intended to replace PR professionals but rather to make existing firms and in-house teams more effective. The company reported 10,000 sign-ups for its waitlist within the first 24 hours, with beta testers including Nextdoor and Bloomberg Beta.
