A Premier League player was involved in a car crash today, 1 October 2026, near Hull City's training ground. The incident on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, involved a black Mercedes understood to belong to midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath, 24.

Humberside Police stated that emergency services were called at 08:30 GMT. Pictures from the scene show the car on its side, and a resident reported that the vehicle also struck and damaged her car.

Hull City confirmed they are "aware of images circulating on social media following a road traffic accident near the training ground and can confirm that no one was harmed in the incident". This follows a similar crash in September on the same road involving Gourna-Douath's teammate, Sorba Thomas.
