Hull City continued their impressive start to life in the Premier League, securing a 1-0 away victory against Coventry. Substitute Liam Millar netted the only goal of the game with eight minutes remaining, capping a swift counter-attack.

The win marks two consecutive victories for Sergej Jakirovic’s side, following their triumph over Manchester United last weekend. Hull, promoted via the Championship play-offs, overcame Coventry, who were promoted as champions.

Coventry, playing their first Premier League match at the CBS Arena, dominated possession for extended periods but struggled to create clear-cut chances. Their best opportunity came late in the first half when Taiwo Awoniyi forced a save from Konstantinos Tzolakis.

Mohamed Belloumi set up Millar for his first Premier League goal after winning the ball from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto. Despite a late chance for Jay Dasilva, Coventry could not find an equaliser.
