James Tarkowski scored an added-time equaliser for Everton, securing a 1-1 Premier League draw against Bournemouth, who were denied a first victory under new head coach Marco Rose.

  • James Tarkowski scored Everton's equaliser in the 91st minute.
  • Alex Scott had opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the 41st minute.
  • The draw prevented Bournemouth from securing a first win under head coach Marco Rose.

James Tarkowski struck in added time to snatch a 1-1 Premier League draw for Everton against Bournemouth, denying the Cherries a first victory under new head coach Marco Rose.

Alex Scott's 41st-minute goal had put Bournemouth ahead, following a week where the club was drawn against AC Milan in the Europa League. However, a minute beyond the 90, Toffees defender Tarkowski capitalised on a mix-up between Ryan Christie and Marcus Tavernier to drill home from a corner.

Bournemouth striker Evanilson had missed an opportunity to extend his side's lead before the late drama, while Everton's Thierno Barry also squandered several chances. Harrison Armstrong started for Everton amid reports of a £40 million bid from Nottingham Forest.
