England's Dan Lawrence delivered an unbeaten 50 runs from 66 balls on day three of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord's. His performance came in challenging conditions, with rain limiting play to just 24.5 overs.
When play was abandoned due to bad light, England had reached 177 for seven, pushing their lead to 357 runs. This marks Lawrence's second half-century in his new role at No 6.
Earlier in the day, Emilio Gay was dismissed for 31, trapped lbw by Mohammad Abbas. Harry Brook contributed 34 runs from 56 balls before also falling to Abbas.
Pakistan's head coach, Sarfaraz Ahmed, had hoped to keep England's target under 350. With two days remaining and showers likely, England's captain Joe Root may look to unleash his bowlers to secure victory.
